Dirk’s Favourite: ‘The first female Olympic champion in eventing’

During these 2020 Olympics, our Belgian colleague Dirk Caremans keeps us up to date on all that’s happening in and around the Tokyo Equestrian Village, completing our news articles with his fantastic photographs. In addition, Dirk provides us with a daily update sharing his favourite photo of the day.

Reminiscing back to that amazing cross country finale, Dirk’s picture of today is this one of Julia Krajewski on her victory lap with Amande de B’Neville. The German rider is the first ever female Olympian to win individual gold in the discipline of eventing, ever since women were first allowed to participate in eventing in 1964. History being made: what an amazing and well-deserved achievement!
