Successful opening day of CSI2* Exloo at Hippisch Centrum Exloo

A succesful opening day to the CSI2* Exloo at Hippisch Centrum Exloo, The Netherlands. With a high number of Dutch participants (partly due Covid travel restrictions), it isn’t much of a surprise it was mainly riders from the home country who took the top ranking on the leaderboards. The opening class, the CSI1* Small Tour Hippo Horse Insurance Prize over 1,20 meters, was won by Doron Kuipers and his Otangelo-gelding Helvetia Moeders W. With a quick 29,70 seconds they send the young rider Maud Agterberg and Limoncello (v. Der Senaat 111) to second place. Third went to Job Oldenziel and It’s Me (v. Carambole).

Lisa Broekert and I Am Elrite (v. Harley) put their name on the CSI1* Big Tour VOF Scholtens Prize over 1,30 meter. In the two phase special they were just a bit too quick for Thijmen Vos and Calgary 56 (v. Carinjo). Third place went to Rink-Jan Dijkstra and Just Chestnut, who is an offspring of Harley as well.

It was Daniela Theelen from Germany who managed to give the Dutch a bit of a challenge. Riding Coupon 6 (v. Coupe de Coeur) she rushed to second place in the CSI2* Medium Tour Sleepy P Ranch Prize over 1,35-1,40 meter. Lars Kersten and Quatta NH Z (v. Quidam de Revel) was just a bit quicker and kept victory in Dutch hands. Another fabulous effort from Doron Kuipers: riding Fabulous (v. Harley) he jumped to the third spot.

The final class of today, the CSI2* Big Tour Grand Prix Qualifier, sponsored by Koopmans Geluid, was won by Dennis van den Brink with the grey mare Aonia Domain (v. MyLord Carthago HN). Second place went to Jodie Hall Mcateer from Great-Britain, riding Mademoiselle-A (v. Corland). Once again, Doron Kuipers showed his skills by grabbing a third place. This time he was in the saddle of the nine-year-old bay gelding Huberth B (v. Verdi TN).

You’ll be able to find the complete results here. Tomorrow morning classes will continue at 08:00.
