Trigon Foal Auction: a look behind the scenes
From July 9th until 14th Trigon Auctions will launch its second online foal auction of this year. Trigon Auctions – a collaboration between Stal Tops, family Van de Lageweg and Frederik De Backer – has selected fifteen interesting foals to be auctioned off.
One of these interesting foals is a lovely colt by Comme Il Faut out of the famous mare Athlete van ’t Heike. This mare – by Voltaire and Landgraf – won the 5* Grand Prix of Barcelona under Eric Lamaze.
Another colt worthy of taking a better look at is one by the famous Balou du Reventon out of Lady D van’t Roosakker, who is the full sister of the breeding stallion Kassander van’t Roosakker Z, ridden by Gregory Whatelet, and Kaprice, the two-time 1,60 meter Grand Prix-winner of Kent Farrington. All three are bred out of the 5* Grand Prix-mare Electra van ’t Roosakker ridden by Janika Sprunger, tracing this colt back to the infamous broodmare Usha van’t Roosakker.
This past June 26th the photo and video day took place at Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard. DigiShots was invited to not only photograph the foals, but also give you an impression of the day. Here’s a fun little look for you of what went on behind the scenes…
