KWPN publishes list of semi-finalists Pavo Cup

Yesterday, the last preselection for the semi-final for the Pavo Cup took place in Oud-Turnhout. In total there were five selection days as part of this young horse competition: four in the Netherlands and one in Belgium, with the semi-final taking place Thursday 12th of August in Ermelo.

In addition to the horses selected through the pre-selections, KWPN-approved stallions are also allowed to participate in the semi-finals, as are the participants of the third observation for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. This brings together an interesting field of participants in Ermelo, of which the names have now been announced.

The semi-finals for four-year-old horses will be judged by Grand Prix rider Brecht D’Hoore and young horse specialist Emmelie Scholtens. Olympians Sven Rothenberger and Coby van Baalen will take place behind the jury table for the semifinals of the five- and six-year-old horses.

The twenty highest placed four- and five-year-old horses will start in the first final round on Sunday 15th of August, as will the twelve highest placed six-year-old horses.

Both the semi-final and the final are open to the public at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo. To be able to come and watch, you must order your free tickets in advance. In addition, it is important that you bring an identification card and corona admission ticket to Ermelo.
